Keep watch for screen savers, fliers, table tents, and digital displays to help keep this safety practice top of mind. In addition, Harris Health will be introducing a patient orientation video that will include common safety practices that patients can expect to encounter during their admission. This idea from the nursing staff will encourage patients to partner with us in their care and safety. It will also prepare them for the repeated asks for their name and date of birth. Topics on the orientation video will include two patient identifiers, hand hygiene, fall precautions, translation services, and repositioning and turning to prevent pressure injuries.
