All patients* are asked to make a minimum payment at the time of their hospital or clinic visit, except for pediatric and prenatal care visits.
Deposits will be required at the time you receive service and are for Harris Health services only. You will be billed for any services rendered, which will require full payment or a payment arrangement to be established and kept until the bill is paid in full.
You will receive a separate bill for doctor charges.
The deposit amount you pay when you get care will be based on the type of service you will have and whether you have valid insurance. If you have insurance coverage, please bring your ID card to your visit with you.
If radiology or lab is done on the same day as the clinic visit, you will only pay the clinic deposit. If you are seen in radiology or lab only, with no clinic visit, you must pay the deposit. Payment for your medicine(s) is collected separately at the pharmacy.
Fees for dentures apply to all patients regardless of patient class and are based on a fee schedule established by Dental Services.
Harris Health is contracted with several major insurance plans and participates in the Medicare program and accepts traditional Medicare. Please visit the Social Security Administration website to get more information about how to apply for Medicare, or visit your nearest Social Security Administration office. After you become a Medicare beneficiary, Harris Health can continue to provide your medical care services. Also, the amount you pay for your prescriptions will be charged per the traditional Medicare Part-D plan. If you do not have Medicare Part-D, you will have to pay full price for all prescriptions.
Visit the Eligibility webpage for more details on patient eligibility and service fees.
Special Notes:
* Deposits are due each time you visit the clinic, even when you do not see the doctor.
* Deposits do not apply to patients in the Healthcare for the Homeless Program.
