Short-Term Disability Policy

​Purpose: To outline and establish guidelines for payment of STD benefits provided by Harris Health to eligible employees.  
  1. Policy Statement: Harris Health offers STD wage replacement benefits to employees unable to work for over 14 consecutive days due to temporary, non-work-related illness or injury. 
  2. Definitions: Short-Term Disability Benefit (STD): A benefit to employees who are temporarily unable to work due to illness, injury, or other qualifying medical conditions.
