​​ Harris Health’s Comprehensive Stroke Center at Ben Taub Hospital is renowned for its high level of expertise and care.

Neurologists, neurosurgeons, stroke specialists and emergency medicine doctors from Baylor College of Medicine partner with Harris Health’s clinical staff to provide stroke patients the best possible outcomes. Our experts know the importance of rapid response and are able to treat ischemic strokes, the most common type of stroke resulting from a blockage or narrowing of blood flow to the brain, to even the most complex stroke cases.

Ben Taub Hospital has earned the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines®- Stroke Gold Plus and Target: StrokeSM Honor Roll Elite Plus Awards.
