To qualify for financial assistance at the Harris Health, you must be a resident of Harris County.
The following co-payments will be requested at the time you receive services and are for Harris Health System services only. In the event you are unable to pay the requested co-payment, services will be provided. If you have insurance coverage, please bring your ID card to your visit with you.

Co-payments do not apply to patients in the Healthcare for the Homeless Program.
Harris Health is contracted with several major insurance plans, participates in the Medicare program and accepts traditional Medicare. Please visit the
Social Security Administration website to get more information about how to apply for Medicare, or visit your nearest Social Security Administration office. After you become a Medicare beneficiary, Harris Health can continue to provide your medical care services.
Also, the amount you pay for your prescriptions will be charged per the traditional Medicare Part-D plan. If you do not have Medicare Part-D, you will have to pay full price for all prescriptions.
