Carol Paret, BS

Carol Paret is the senior vice president and chief community health officer for Memorial Hermann Health System and the CEO of Memorial Hermann Community Benefit Corporation. Paret completed her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Houston. She began her career in community health planning and for the past 41 years she has worked for Memorial Hermann.  
 
Among her many accomplishments with the Memorial Hermann Community Benefit Corporation is a partnership with five school districts, Houston, Pasadena, Aldine, Alief and Lamar Consolidated, called The Health Centers for Schools Program designed to provide a “medical home” for uninsured and Medicaid children K-12th grade. The program offers access to primary medical care, dental care, mental health counseling, social services and nutrition counseling. 
 
Throughout her career at Memorial Hermann, she has provided leadership to multiple other programs and functions, such as medical records, the family medicine residency program and various clinical operations. 
 
Paret is also involved with other organizations that are focused on improving health. She has served on several community boards over her career. She currently serves on the board of El Centro de Corazon, is a past-chair and current board member of the Texas Health Institute and chairs the Board of Greater Houston Health Connect.
