Executive Vice President and Chief Compliance & Risk Officer
Carolynn Jones is executive vice president and chief compliance and risk officer at Harris Health System. She joined Harris Health in 2007 and is responsible for all compliance, assurance and accreditation functions for the system—including oversight of corporate compliance, policies and procedures, cyber/information security, and accreditation and regulatory affairs.
Jones and her team primarily investigate and respond to compliance concerns, monitor and audit to ensure Harris Health complies with all local, state and federal laws, regulations and accreditation standards. Her team also provides education and consultation to Harris Health employees through policies, education, interventions and participation in key operational meetings.
Jones holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in Houston. She has been licensed to practice law in the state of Texas since 2006 and became board-certified in Health Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 2015. She also is certified in Health Care Compliance by the Health Care Compliance Association and is currently pursuing an Executive Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Dallas.
