HOUSTON (Sept. 11, 2019) — Harris Health System officially ended its declared system wide internal disaster at 3 p.m., which resulted from a water pipe break at Ben Taub Hospital the evening of Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019.
Both of Harris Health’s hospitals – Ben Taub and Lyndon B. Johnson – have ended ambulance diversion status and are now accepting patients by ambulance.
Harris Health thanks the community for its patience while the system continues to address needed repairs.
