As cases of COVID-19 continue to decline in our community, and to prepare for the upcoming end of the declared national public health emergency, Harris Health will return to our pre-COVID visitation policy on Monday, April 17.
This means that effective Monday, April 17, per Harris Health Policy 4605, Patient Visitor Policy, a maximum of two (2) visitors per patient in our hospitals and one (1) visitor per patient in our outpatient surgery and clinic areas will be allowed, unless the charge nurse or nurse manager, in collaboration with the care team, allows additional visitors.
Please note that the policy does allow for further Clinically Appropriate Restrictions to be placed on visitation for a variety of reasons, including safety concerns.
