Cardiac care at Ben Taub Hospital has received national high marks for staff's quick response time when dealing with patients suffering from one of the deadliest types of heart attacks. Ben Taub Hospital received national recognition for its treatment and care for heart attack and heart failure patients from the American Heart Association (AHA). 

Harris Health also provides non-invasive assessments of heart disease using echocardiography techniques that deliver precise and accurate diagnoses. Both Ben Taub and LBJ hospital’s echocardiography labs are accredited by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission and perform at a high level.
