Harris Health’s Meds-to-Beds Program is a service designed with patients in mind that offers trusted medication education. It is a program that uses a licensed pharmacist to deliver discharge medications to patients before leaving the hospital. This eliminates the need for a patietn or family member to visit a pharmacy for medications. With medications filled at teh bedside before discharge, patients have one less concern and can focus on what really matters, going home and staying healthy.

- Medications are delivered to the bedside before leaving the hospital; no need to stop at a pharmacy on the way home.
- Receive private, personalized medication counseling by a pharmacist.
- Allows patients to focus on your health and recovery.
- Helps patients stay on track with their medication plan. Patient will receive a phone call from a pharmacist within 72 hours for certain health conditions after leavign the hospital to check on the patient's progress.

Q: How do I enroll in the Meds-to-Beds Program?
A: If you are admitted into the hospital you are automatically enrolled into the program. You may also choose to opt out. A transition specialist will meet with you and provide you with more information during your stay and at discharge.
Q: What if I do not have my insurance information during this visit?
A: The pharmacist will retrive your prescription coverage information using the pharmacy database.
Q: Can my discharge medications be added to my hospital bill?
A: Meds-to-Beds prescription filling is an outpatient pharmacy service and cannot be added to your hospital bill. Co-pays are collected when your Meds-to-Beds service is provided.
Q: What type of payments can I use for this program?
A: Harris Health’s Meds-to-Beds Program accepts personal checks, credit and debit cards. Cash is not accepted at this time.
Q: How will I be informed when my prescriptions are ready?
A: Once your prescriptions are ready, a pharmacist will deliver your medications to your bedside, provide medication education and answer any questions you may have about your medicine.
Q: How can I obtain my future medications?
A: Prescriptions can be mailed directly to you through our free Medication Home Delivery Program or sent to your preferred pharmacy location. To make it easy for you, use MyHealth to order your refill and pay your copay, if necessary. Our transition specialist will enroll you and show you how to use MyHealth before you leave the hospital.
Q: What happens when I run out of medication?
A: We recommend you request a medication refill 7 days before running out through MyHealth and request that it be delivered to your home. If urgent, please call 713-634-1425 (Monday-Friday, 6 a.m.-7 p.m.) to pick up your prescription sooner.
