Harris Health's multidisciplinary approach to cancer care provides optimal treatment for each of our patients. To ensure the best care possible, we bring together specialists, each with expertise in specific cancers, as well as other clinical staff involved in your treatment, and put their collective knowledge, skills and experience to work for you.
As a patient, your care team may include a medical oncologist, surgeon, radiation oncologist, nurse, genetics counselor, pathologist, nutritionist, interventional radiologist and other providers all focused on you and your specific needs. This meeting of the minds provides each patient with a personalized care plan designed for the most successful outcome.
Our approach emphasizes open communication, collaborating with each other personally and through our award winning Electronic Medical Records system.
As you complete your cancer treatment and there is no evidence of disease, you will follow-up in Survivorship Clinic. In Survivorship Clinic you will receive survivorship care plans, imaging/lab draws and history/physical to assess for recurrence and secondary malignancies. The frequency and timeline of this clinic will be based on your cancer's national guidelines. Survivorship Clinic is centered on your continued health goals and offers Survivorship Program resources to improve quality of life after curative treatment.
